Q: Why have GuidedBirding.com?

A: Simple. The International birding community was lacking a suitable single resource when it came to locating a reliable Birding Guide. We feel that we understand the eco-tourism market very well, and especially understand the needs of professional birding guides who are seeking to market their services on a worldwide scale. What better place than a dedicated Website such as GuidedBirding.com.

Q: Who are you?

A: GuidedBirding.com is run and maintained by Chris Bradshaw & Andy Mckee.

We are two birding guides based in the UK and primarily operating in the south-east of England. We run a small outfit called North Kent Birding (see the website www.northkentbirding.freeserve.co.uk). One of us regularly travels overseas leading tours in countries as diverse as India, China, Malaysia, USA, Canada, Cuba, Morocco, Spain etc. These overseas trips are run for the UK company Birdwatching Breaks and also some private trips for UK and US citizens.

Q: Why should I pay to have a link?

A: A very good question. In order to achieve our objectives we, on your behalf, need a rigourous, self perpetuating and continuous promotional strategy that requires some means of financing. Paying for a link ensures that we have the means to implement this to the benefit of everyone by providing adequate exposure not only to the site itself but to those guides who's services are featured.

Q: What are your objectives?

A: Our objectives are to bring GuidedBirding.com to the full attention of the worlds birding community, through paid advertising, web links etc. to make it *the* definitive place to look when a birding guide is required. We are under no illusions and are fully aware that this can only be achieved with the willingness of birding guides to register with GuidedBirding.com. The response so far has been very encouraging and the list continues to grow at a steady pace. We like to think that those having already invested have done so in recognition of the validity of this resource and its potential.

A: Of course. A bird guiding company offers the same services to the travelling public who will, in time, expect to find you here.

Q: How much does is cost for an inclusion on GuidedBirding.com for a full year and what do I get?

A: Inclusion on the site costs only £75.00 ($120.00 US Dollars) per entry. This is a one off payment and the price entitles you to five* separate entries for the countries in which you are available to offer your services. Profile updates (as and when you wish) are also included within the price plus any additional photographs

In addition to this, your profile, in its entirety, will be duplicated on the Surfbirds.com Website. As Surfbirds currently reaches an audience well in excess of 13,000 birders every week, we can be fairly certain that this will create an even higher profile for each and every guide listed.

Q: I would like to have an entry in more than one Country. Can I change my details to suit?

A: Yes. Your registration fee entitles you to up to five entries for the countries in which you are available to offer your services regardless of whether the profile text is the same or completely different providing that the Guides and/or Company name remains the same. This also applies to any photographs that you may wish to include.

Please note that any modifications outside of the 'Profile' or 'Also available to Guide in' text will be considered separate, each requiring its own registration fee.

Q: How do I get my profile onto GuidedBirding.com?

A: You can send us your profile by filling out our simple online form or directly by e-mail following the criteria of profiles already on the site. We will then e-mail you when your details have been prepared and invite you to view a copy as it will appear on the site to ensure that the details are correct. When you are completely satisfied with your inclusion we will then send details of how to make your payment. When payment has been recieved your profile will immediatly appear on the site.

Q: How do I make my payment?

A: You can pay by Credit Card, Bank transfer ,by sending us a Cheque or by Western Union Money Transfer

Q:I wish to pay by Credit Card. What do I need to do?

A: Once your profile has been added to the site and you are entirely satisfied with your inclusion you will recieve an e-mail requesting payment. We utilise the 'PayPal' (eBay) system which allows secure Credit card payments via the internet. This does require a short registration procedure the first time that you use the system but is completely free of charge. Q: I wish to pay by Bank Transfer. Where do I find GuidedBirding.com's bank details?

A: GuidedBirding.com's Bank details will be provided once your profile has been added to the site and you are entirely satisfied with your inclusion. We regret that any and all charges additional to the registration fee that are imposed by your bank are your responsibility and must be paid for by you.

Q: I wish to pay by cheque. Where do I send it?

A: Details regarding GuidedBirding.com's postal address will be provided once your profile has been added to the site and you are entirely satisfied with your inclusion. If you wish to pay by cheque drawn on a non-UK bank account, then a surcharge of £10.00 (GB Pounds) is necessary to cover the additional costs in cashing the cheque.
