Stephen Daly has been birding since the age of eight. He lives and works in Andalucia, opposite Morocco, running Andalucian Guides on the Strait of Gibraltar, one of the world's busiest migration routes.

Stephen has had years of experience in most Spanish and Portuguese birding areas, guiding clients all over the Iberian peninsular. He has previously lived and worked in France and Germany and knows all the good European hotspots as well as most Mediterranean countries including the exotic lands of Morocco and Tunisia.

Stephen, a Scot, speaks fluent French, German and Spanish as well as his native English. He is married to Patty, who comes from southern Germany's Black Forest and together they now have Lucia, their first child.

Stephen guides for various UK companies including Limosa Holidays one of the world's foremost birding holiday companies, Heatherlea - "The Scottish Wildlife Experience" and Fantasia Adventure Holidays SL in Spain.

Andalucian Guides operates a policy of eco-friendly, low impact, sustainable tourism with a high priority towards conservation in southern Andalucia.

Julian & Amanda opened a guesthouse in Oliva, at the northern tip of the Costa Blanca. This makes a great place to stay, and from where he runs professionally led guided birdwatching tours of the whole region. This area boasts two of the most accessible airports in Europe at Alicante & Valencia making travelling here very easy and stress-free. The Valencia Region has a great deal to offer the travelling & holidaying birdwatcher with lots of different habitats producing many quality species including Little Bittern, White-headed & Marbled Duck, Golden & Bonelli's Eagle, Purple Gallinule, Great Bustard, Black-bellied & Pin-tailed Sandgrouse, Red-necked Nightjar, Rufous Bushchat, Black Wheatear, Trumpeter Finch and many more.

We also offer all-inclusive holidays and short breaks to parts of Spain (Andalucia, Extremadura & thePyrenees), and parts of the Western Palearctic. Our current itinerary covers emerging bird-rich countries such as Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia, and old favourites such as Morocco.The main aim of our holidays is to run them at 'value for money' prices, and try and maintain small group sizes to give all participants the best chance of seeing any species found.
