Stephen Daly has been birding since the age of eight. He lives and works in Andalucia, opposite Morocco, running Andalucian Guides on the Strait of Gibraltar, one of the world's busiest migration routes.

Stephen has had years of experience in most Spanish and Portuguese birding areas, guiding clients all over the Iberian peninsular. He has previously lived and worked in France and Germany and knows all the good European hotspots as well as most Mediterranean countries including the exotic lands of Morocco and Tunisia.

Stephen, a Scot, speaks fluent French, German and Spanish as well as his native English. He is married to Patty, who comes from southern Germany's Black Forest and together they now have Lucia, their first child.

John is a professional local bird guide and author with over 35 years of birding and guiding experience both in England and Doñana, where he now lives.

Quality birding often depends on good local knowledge and experience and John has that in abundance, having operated over 700 day trips and many longer tours. He knows the breeding, feeding and roosting sites of all the more sought after species, he knows about migration patterns and he understands the effects that local climate conditions can have on the birds.

Richard is an experienced English freelance birding guide based in the French Pyrenees, where he has lived for thirteen years. He leads tours in the Western Pyrenees, which can be adapted from one day to one week depending on the client’s requirements.

Richard has travelled across much of the world and has visited over eighty countries to date. He has led many tours to western and central Africa including sixteen tours to Senegal, a country he knows very well.

He also has a good knowledge of Ghana and, more recently, Malawi, where he has led several tours. Another country he is currently working in is Guyana.

I have been a keen bird-watcher and field botanist for 35 years.

My main areas of birding experience are Scotland and Southern England, Balearic Islands, Corsica, Britanny, Eastern France, Camargue, NE Spain, Eastern Andalucia, Western Greece, Corfu, Thassos, Kos, Cyprus, New Zealand (North Island), Canada (Southern Ontario), USA (Nebraska) and Kenya (Nairobi area).

I specialise in unhurried bird-watching without excessive travelling, suited to a 50+ age group. All my guided walks include the identification of flora and insect species and the encouragement of photography at every stage.

Sergio Pinedo graduated in Biological Sciences from the University of Murcia and is an expert bird ringer, accredited by SEO-BirdLife. In the course of his degree he took part in different studies of wild species, mainly with forest birds of prey and reptiles.

He has worked on different environmental studies, as a nature guide in all of the protected areas in the Cuenca Province. He is a member of SEO-Birdlife and representative of the ‘Important Bird Area 185’ (San Clemente-Villarrobledo). He is familiar with the best places in La Mancha and the Pyrenees for birdwatching. His job at the moment is carrying out studies in the Pyrenees with large birds of prey such as the Bearded Vulture. He is also a Birdwatching guide in the Natural Parks of Posets Maladeta and Aïguestortes. With NAYACU tours you can see big raptors and other small typical species of alpine birds such as the Wallcreeper, Snow Finch, Rock Trush, Ring Ouzel, Wheatear,Citril Finch, Black Redstart or the Alpine Accentor.

We offer short tours in the Pyrenees of 1-2 days in the prime high mountain birdwatching sites of Spain. We also offer longer tours of Spain to suit the needs and wishes of our clients. We will visit the Pyrenees and La Mancha, two regions of Spain with high biogeographical differences, maximizing our customers' chances of seeing a wide diversity of birds, ranging from the typical high mountain species of the Pyrenees to the steppeland birds of La Mancha.
