Mike Flieg is a co-founder of Ornifolks, a low budget birding alternative to high priced tour companies.He has organized birding trips throughout the world, and has birded extensively on all 7 continents.

Mike leads Colorado specialty trips, on an annual basis, which target 6 species of grouse, rosy finches, longspurs, and Mountain Plover. These 7 day trips begin in mid-April; three separate tours are offered annually. He has been leading these trips for the past 5 years and in addition, leads Hawaiian endemic trips and weekend mop-ups of Puerto Rico.
