Andrea Corso has been birding from a very early age. He has written c.250 publications for Italian and worldwide magazines (including Birding World, Dutch Birding, Alula, Birdwatch, Ornithos etc.) and has also been involved in the writing of many birds books and is, by himself, working on 4 different publications.

His works concern mainly the field identification of difficult birds species, but also taxonomy, migration (mainly of raptors) and many other aspects of ornithology and has collaborated in many national/international projects.

For the past ten years he has organised the Strait of Messina International Survey monitoring Raptor migration (Andrea being the the main counter and scientific counting supervisor). As a naturalistic professional guide, he has lead numerous birding groups throughout the Western Palearctic.

To his credit, he has found many new bird species for Sicily and Italy but also for other nations such as Cyprus (1st Upchers's Warbler and 2nd Pied Wheatear) , Israel (1st White-rumped Sandpiper, 2nd Blyth's Pipit and 5th Pectoral Sandpiper), and many others besides. In Italy, he is Italy's top lister for the country and for the the Western Palearctic and also holds the record year list (318 on 2000).

Guided excursions can be booked all year round and throughout Sicily (pre-booking, at least 2 days in advance, by e-mail or telephone. For excursions in East Sicily is it possible to book just 1 day in advance). Guided excursions can be from 1 day to 1 week or more. The service includes: a printed complete check-list of Sicilian birds and a field notebook, visits to the various sites of birding and natural interest and locating the birds species present (and all the other interesting animals and plants).
